PAPER DOLLS
The paper doll characters in these photographs were cut from magazines, mounted on cardboard and propped up in new environments. The discrepancies in scale and the blurring of some figures are meant to evoke a world of memory and dreams. In creating relationships between characters and casting them in their roles, my intention was to orchestrate scenes reminiscent of archetypal encounters between family members.
